Holiday Shopping Doesn’t Have to be so Ho-Hum

The most challenging part of buying Christmas gifts isn’t finding the time to shop or navigating through the masses at the mall — it’s figuring out what to buy someone!

If you are strapped for ideas, The Forks Market Holiday Gift Guide has you covered with great local gift picks for all the special people in your life, all found at The Forks.

Surprising someone with a unique gift feels great, and supporting local businesses is always an added bonus.

While shopping is a part of the holiday season, experiences are what make the holidays warm, fuzzy and fun.

The Forks Market is having a Holiday Bazaar on Thursday, December 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with free music and entertainment, prize giveaways, and a wine and hot chocolate bar. Who says holiday shopping has to be ho-hum?

To make it even easier to check everyone off your list, the Bazaar will offer FREE childcare, gift-wrapping, and coat check, all available with a donation to the Christmas Cheer Board.

Some recommendations for eats while you are shopping are included in the gift guide, in addition to a delish dessert recipe from Tall Grass Prairie Bread Co.

Speaking of warm and fuzzy, The Forks Market is launching a “Roasting Nuts & Warming Huts” candle in collaboration with Coal and Canary Candle Co.  at the Holiday Bazaar. The candle is being sold at The Forks Trading Company for $25 in support of The Forks Foundation, which uses donations to bring new and innovative projects to The Forks.

Give the gift of Winnipeg’s most memorable meeting place — in candle form!

We want to help you get all your shopping done one in one place, with less stress, all while supporting local businesses. The holidays are just beginning, and we’d love if you’d start them off by joining us at The Forks Market Holiday Bazaar on December 3.
